The essential oil of Thyme ct. thymol is a powerful antiseptic for internal and external uses. Thyme was used as an antiseptic for internal and external uses. In olden days, was used to medicate gauze and wool for surgical dressings. Thyme was used as a disinfectant and antiseptic in hospitals until the First World War as it could kill yellow fever organisms and was seven times stronger than carbolic acid, without the burn. It was sprayed onto the clothes of the soldiers during the Crimean War to protect against disease. Thyme oil is recommended for all infections. It stimulates the production of white blood corpuscles, so it strengthens the body’s immune system. According to Dr. Jean Valnet, an aqueous solution of 5% thyme kills typhus bacillus in 2 minutes. It can kill colon bacillus in 2-8 minutes, staphylococcus in 4-8 minutes and streptococcus and diphtheric bacillus in 4 minutes.
The essential oil of Tea Tree is non-toxic and 11-13 times stronger than carbolic as a germicide. The antibacterial and antifungal properties of Tea Tree oil are well documented through clinical studies. Tea Tree is considered unusual in that it has a broad spectrum antimicrobial activity against bacteria, viruses and fungi. Tea Tree oil is a very powerful immuno-stimulant, so when the body is threatened with any infection, Tea Tree increases its ability to respond.
Doctor of Science Schnaubelt says that Raventsara oil is extremely well tolerated. Its tolerability and strong antiviral action make it the oil of choice for the treatment of influenza. The essential oil of Ravintsara has excellent antiviral properties, particularly for the flu. It is one of the first essential oils one should turn to as a preventative at the first signs of chills, shivers or tiredness.
The antimicrobial qualities of Lemon oil are very useful for treating the symptoms of colds, flu, bronchitis and asthma. Lemon oil kills Diphtheria bacilli in 20 minutes. Lemon oil is often referred to as having immune-stimulating properties, meaning that it stimulates the production of white blood cells to fight off invading bacteria. Lavender holds a special place in preventative health care as it is antiseptic and anti-infectious.

I made this blend as an alternative to commercial hand sanitizers containing chemicals that kill both the good and the bad bacteria, compromising your immune system because of the loss of the “good” bacteria. The essential oils in this blend work in synergy to kill different types of harmful bacteria and viruses in addition to building up your immune system. Because of the essential oils themselves, this product is more destructive to viruses and bacteria than any commercially manufactured hand sanitizing product. Base is more hydrating and moisturizing to skin than commercial sanitizers which can be drying. The Aloe base makes this product easier to travel with as the container is small enough to fit in your purse or briefcase. Easy-to-use cap.
Aroma: Citrus, herbaceous, warm, fresh & sweet
